Hitman: Codename 47 is an action-adventure video game. It was Developed by IO Interactive. It was published by Eidos Interactive exclusively for Microsoft Windows. It was composed by Jesper Kyd. It was released in 19 November 2000 in North America. While in Europe, it was released in 1 December 2000.
It is a single-player game. It's producer was Jonas Eneroth. It was the first installment in the HITMAN video game series. It is also known as Hitman 1.
The game's story is based on Agent 47. He was a genetically enhanced human clone branded with a barcode tattooed on the back of his head, who is rigorously trained in methods of murder. Upon escaping from a test facility, he was hired by the Agency, a European contact killing organization. His mission takes him to several places in Asia and assassinate wealthy and decadent criminals.
